About

Writer. Teacher. Advocate.

I believe stories have the power to build empathy and create a kinder, more just world. I love listening to others’ stories as much as I enjoy sharing my own. When we listen with our imaginations, our experiences connect and change us.

I am a freelance writer, editor, academic coach, and teacher of creative writing and journalism. I write for a variety of publications about family, faith, disability, and belonging. I grew up surrounded by the mountains and lakes of New Hampshire and now live in Massachusetts with my husband Mark and our three children. Our family’s favorite moments are shared around the table or exploring New England’s history, rocky coastlines, and mountains.
